Why you need to deal with obesity today!

We know doing regular exercise or eating healthy can be difficult. From the long working hours and busy schedules that may unintentionally have you skip a meal or substitute a healthy meal for the quick fix called fast food, to the outright laziness and the biggest enemy of progress that we know as procrastination. Here’s the thing though, your health is priceless and these poor habits have adverse effects in the long run. These habits are killing us and affecting even the younger generation who are our future leaders.

Here are some facts from The European Association For The Study Of Obesity;

  • Worldwide obesity has nearly doubled since 1980.
  • 44% of the diabetes burden, 23% of the ischaemic heart disease burden and between 7% and 41% of certain cancer burdens are attributable to overweight and obesity.
  • More than 40 million children under the age of five were overweight in 2011.
  • Obesity is preventable.

So start small today, substitute the fried fatty food for the juicy healthier fruit, drink lots of water, walk instead of driving. Remember…
